Music has always been a part of my life.
When I was three years old, my mother taught me how to play the piano.
She was a piano teacher and my first music teacher.
Surrounded by sound from a young age, I eventually formed a band in high school and played the bass.
In 2015, I created my piano solo album PIERCE to prepare for my study abroad at a music college in Los Angeles.
It was a work that helped me face my music head-on, and at the same time, it marked the beginning of a journey to test whether I could truly live in the world of music.
In 2016, I studied music production at Los Angeles College of Music and California College of Music.
The city of Los Angeles had an overwhelming, energetic music scene, and I immersed myself in it while creating songs with local musicians and producers.
Session work in studios, deep musical discussions with instructors who had worked on Grammy-winning tracks—everything changed my perspective on music.
After returning to Japan, I worked as a music creator at a songwriting agency for K-pop groups.
This experience became a significant turning point, where I learned the global perspective on music production and the meaning of commercial music.
In 2021, I ranked 2nd in the weekly pop genre rankings on Audius, a music platform with over 6 million monthly users.
In 2024, I placed 3rd in a remix contest hosted by Overtune and Audius, and also won the Excellence Award at the SHOWBIZ competition organized by Cloud Nine.
And now, I am globally active as a music sample maker, particularly as a loop maker.
At first glance, the loop form may seem simple, but it holds endless possibilities.
In short phrases, I pack expressions that transcend genres, designing them to blend into any type of music.
Loops are the seeds from which producers and beatmakers can create new music, and the "sound memories" embedded in them spread in various ways.
Through this work, I have experienced the remarkable advancements in technology in the field of music.
In other words, the act of making music has historically been enhanced by technological progress.
And now, with the evolution of AI, the music production process is undergoing a major transformation.
By utilizing AI, it’s possible to create new sounds from vast datasets, and develop songs that evolve by analyzing listener preferences.
I, too, am working to create music in collaboration with AI and share it with the world.
Ten years ago, I created my piano solo album PIERCE and took my first step into the world of music.
Now, as a loop maker, I continue to explore the future of music.
